Influenster VoxBox: The Final Reviews

This week, I’ve been posting reviews from a box of products I received from Influenster. You can find my other reviews here and here. Today, I want to talk about the last three items in my review box: Kiss Nail Dress, EBoost, and Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask.

Influenster Holiday VoxBox 2012I should mention that these items were sent to me, free of charge, in exchange for my review.

EBoost (Estimated cost: $28-$39):

“EBoost will boost your mood, focus, and immunity with natural ingredients and no crash. As a shot or an easy-to-mix powder and in four flavors, you’ll feel great whether you choose Orange, Pink Lemonade, Acai Pomegranate, or Super Berry. And with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, you’ll certainly need a boost!”

Energy enhancing drink powders seem to be the latest crazy in health and fitness. I’ll be honest, I’ve never really been a fan. Why? I like water. Actually, I love water and I don’t really find those mixes (any of the brands) to be all that refreshing. All that said, when I saw that there was a sample packet of EBoost’s Pink Lemonade flavored booster in my review box, I knew I needed to approach it from an objective perspective. So I waited to try it until an afternoon when I felt especially run down (I have a toddler in the house and I watch “The Walking Dead” late at night. Needless to say, those afternoons aren’t hard to come by). I was feeling especially lethargic on New Year’s Eve and knew it was the perfect opportunity to take the plunge. So I grabbed a glass of ice water and opened the packet.

EBoost Pink Lemonade

Initial reaction? The powder is yellow until you mix it with the liquid and it turns pink. I assume it’s the citric acid (I really have no idea, that’s just a guess) but I thought it was interesting. I waited a few minutes before trying it. Honestly? It tastes a lot like seltzer water (very strong seltzer water) with a hint of pink lemonade. If you really enjoy the taste of seltzer water (which I don’t), you’ll like it. I would be curious to see what the other flavors taste like but I’m not entirely certain I would want to fork over the $28+ for a whole box of these suckers.

I will say that I was surprised by the fact that the product really did boost my energy level…so how ’bout them apples?!

Kiss Nail Dress (Estimated cost: $6.99):

“Ultimate nail fashion for tips and toes! Just peel, apply, and shape for a manicure that lasts up to a week. On in minutes, off in seconds without remover. Nail Dress is available in 21 different styles, many of them featuring 3-dimensional jeweled designs. Skip the topcoat, Nail Dress has it built in.”

Kiss Nail Dress

The Kiss Nail Dress applicator nails are pretty self-explanatory so I thought, rather than write-up how I used them…I would just show you. Take a look:

It’s barely noticeable and it doesn’t hurt but I thought it was strange and a little interesting…so I figured I’d update. I’m sure you’re all very glad to know this. 😉

Kiss Nail Dress There’s the Kiss Nail dress on my big toe. I painted the other nails instead of doing the entire foot because my toe nails are pretty tiny.

These are very easy to take off…I literally just peeled it off like a sticker and ta-da, it was done. I think this is a great solution for younger kids or teenagers who want something funky without paying a lot at a nail salon.

Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask (Estimated cost: <$2):

“Montagne Jeunesse face masques have been a part of many girl’s lives since way back when. With a huge array to choose from these face masques are jam packed with the most delicious natural ingredients and are busting with luscious juicy fragrances.”

Face Mask

I want to keep this part of the review relatively short…I liked this face mask. It smells amazing, goes on like a lotion, dries in about ten minutes, and is really easy to rinse off (I did while I took a shower). The only thing I was not crazy about (and this is my fault for not taking better care of my skin) is that I’ve broken out all over my face since I used this product. I think it would be fun to do a “spa day” at home with some girlfriends and use this product again (which I will likely do).

I loved my Influenster review box and would love to share it with you…if you’re a blogger interested in becoming an Influenster, let me know. I have two more invitations to share and would love to send one to you. Email me at: itsanordinaryblog@gmail.com
